Alforreca, in english jellyfish, are the common names in portuguese given to the medusa-phase of certain gelatinous members of the subphylum Medusozoa. They usually have a mushroom or umbrella-shaped body, with long, slender tentacles covered in small spikes with poisonous pouches used in their defense or for capturing prey.

But this site is not a jellyfish much less a gelatinous mushroom. Is my site! is a place where I publish some photos, nature articles and resources.

Thank you for accessing it!
